The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane, and the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Yoji Muto, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Tokyo on Wednesday, aimed at strengthening the two countries' collaboration in the field of investment.

The Memorandum aims to provide a platform for consolidating economic relations between Morocco and Japan, creating new avenues for cooperation, and fostering the mutual sharing of expertise and best practices.

The signing of the Memorandum is part of the roadshow led by Zidane at the head of a large Moroccan delegation to Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Organized jointly by the Ministry and the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE), the roadshow aims to strengthen bilateral economic relations and highlight the Kingdom's assets as a preferred destination for foreign direct investment, particularly in promising sectors.

The Moroccan delegation held a series of meetings with key economic players in Japan, including Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), one of Japan's leading business associations, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

Meetings were also held with Japanese companies in the automotive, aerospace, agri-food, and renewable energy sectors.

On Thursday, the Moroccan delegation will continue its roadshow in Seoul, where it will present Morocco's assets as an investment destination at a «Morocco Now» conference.

High-level meetings with representatives of the Korean government and industry federations are planned to strengthen economic and institutional ties between the two countries.

In addition, meetings with Korean companies from the automotive, aerospace, electronics, rail, and shipbuilding industries will be organized to explore investment opportunities in Morocco.
