hello to all the people from canada and they study there i want to get some advice : *how is it going in canada ? how is life there ? *how is the rent ? *how every thing went from the interview day until you got there???
I was a student at the School of Translation, University of Ottawa. The cost of life is quite expensive but the quality is good (I can't say excellent). The rent is much more expensive in the Anglophone parts of Canada than in Québec, from my own point of view. But it depends on your financial situation.
I don't live in Montréal, but I can give you an approximate evaluation of the prices. The rent varies I think depending on the type of apartment you are looking for. Let's say that a 2-bedroom costs about 400-500$ a month. Studies, for permanent residents and citizens, cost about 5000$ a year. I am not sure if it is the same in Québec universities. You have to ask for the information yourself. All I know is that this year, there is going to be a raise of 4.5% in tuition fees (frais de scolarité).
