The Polisario Front seeks support from French communists

The Polisario Front welcomed on Sunday the final communiqué of the 42nd congress of the Mouvement Jeunes communistes de France (MJCF), held this weekend. The latter passed a recommendation that «supports the struggle of Sahrawi people and their right to self-determination».

Quoted by the Polisario’s news agency, the final communiqué refers to «Western Sahara as an occupied territory by Morocco», describing it as «Africa’s last colony».

The Mouvement Jeunes communistes de France also denounced the last decision of the European Parliament which included Western Sahara in the Morocco-EU association agreement.

The movement showed support for «political prisoner Ennaama Asfari and his wife, Claude Mangin-Asfari». The statement urged France to «to defend Sahrawi detainees», the same source concluded.
