The son of Hind Achchabi calls the King to help his mother through an emotional video

After nearly one year of being detained in the civil prison in Salé, Hind Achchabi’s son, Sadiq published a video on the 23rd of July calling on King Mohammed VI to intervene in favor of his mother.

Speaking in English, the 9-year-old boy mentioned the difficulties he encountered since his mother was imprisoned : «I havn’t seen my mother for almost one year …She was unjustly imprisoned. We do not know what to do without her» he said with a shaky voice. According to him, many people «wants to do her wrong». 

The video features the Hind Achchabi’s three children, the elder Sadiq and his two sisters, aged one and two, respectively.

As a reminder, Hind Achchabi was sentenced to three years imprisonment in first instance by the Rabat court in November 2016. The sentence was reduced to two years in prison on the 21st of March. The incarceration occurred following a complaint by Sadeq Mohamed Saleh Marafi, a Kuwaiti diplomat settled down in Vienna and husband of the businesswoman who «accused her of adultery».
